what happens next?

Upon receiving your completed application form, Dragoman will decide if you are a suitable candidate for the position of trip leader.

You will then be invited to Camp Green Farm for an initial interview. As Dragoman is based within the grounds of a busy farm we operate within a very informal atmosphere, so casual dress is fine.

If successful, you will be asked back a two week extended interview. During the two weeks you live and work alongside other trainees, experienced Dragoman crew as well as office staff. This gives us a chance to assess your enthusiasm and suitability for the job.
Due to the high volume of applicants, unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.

If you pass the extended interview, you will be required to obtain an LGV/PCV licence. This licence should cover vehicles with double rear axles and for vehicles of 16 tonnes and over in weight. International Driving Permits, a first aid appointed-persons certificate, a passport with 20 clear pages and all necessary vaccinations must also be obtained at your own expense. Once employed by Dragoman, any subsequent required or renewed documentation will be paid for by the company.

You then return on an agreed intake date for the 8 week in-house training programme which involves you learning and participating in varied activities such as truck maintenance, basic mechanics, and the skills needed to be a Dragoman Overland crew member. Classroom training sessions in basic accounting and group dynamics are designed to raise your awareness of the nature of leading a trip.
Once the training programme is completed, you will be sent out on the road to work alongside an experienced trip leader for a period of up to six months before leading your own trips!

We look forward to hearing from you!
