The original overland experience
Dragoman has over 25 years experience in travel; running overland trips across Africa, Asia, and South America. We do overlanding with absolute expertise and professionalism.
Dragoman was started in 1981 when two budding overlanders bought one old Bedford truck and headed off to Egypt, Sudan and Kenya with a group of adventurous passengers. The truck - and passengers - made it back to the UK in one piece and from there Dragoman started the process of expansion.
Today, we have a fleet of 30 purpose built overland trucks around the world. We've pioneered more routes than any other adventure travel operator. We still think that overlanding is the most authentic and accessible way of experiencing new countries, their people and cultures We're renowned for our trips and commitment to responsible tourism, benefiting the local people of the countries we visit.
On the road with Dragoman
Our overland trips are designed to offer freedom and flexibility. There's a route to follow rather than a strict hour-by-hour itinerary. We stay in family run hotels, local campsites and home stays. Our extensively trained trip leaders are passionate about travelling and will ensure your trip is both enjoyable and safe. Plus, in East and Southern Africa we use cooks giving you real taste of traditional culinary delights.
